“Childhood in the World War II and its Consequences”

The project examines the long-term mastering and the traces of the childhood in the 2nd World War and, in Germany, on the background of the national socialist time after 60 years. It was started in Germany in 2004 and will be extended to other European countries as soon as possible.

It is aimed at people who have been born in the years 1933 to 1945. In an anonymous questionnaire they document their early memories, later experiences and today's assessment of their life and inform about their evaluation of their childhood in war.

Though there is so long no formal cooperation with study groups installed, participatants from all European countries are welcome!
